Now that you are a Phi Theta Kappa member, consider attending the Induction Ceremony on Saturday, November 2 to be recognized in front of family and friends!

There are two ways for you to enjoy the Induction ceremony - you can join virtually through Zoom OR attend in person. Even if you attend the event in person, you can share the Zoom link with family and friends so they can join us regardless of location.

Attending In-Person

  • Ceremony starts at 10 a.m. Please arrive at 9:30 a.m. in the Massey Library Technology Center at the Parham Rd campus. The street address is 1651 E Parham Rd, Richmond.
  • Following the ceremony there will be a light reception and the event will conclude at approximately 11:30 a.m.
  • You may bring up to 4 guests to the physical ceremony
  • We ask that you attend a rehearsal on November 1 at 5:30 p.m. in the Auditorium. Attendance is required for all students participating in the induction ceremony
  • The attire for the event is business casual (please no jeans). Please wear comfortable shoes that you can go up and down steps in. If you have a Phi Theta Kappa member pin (you would have received this in your new member packet), feel free to wear it.
  • Should you need special accommodations, please contact the Cara Luyster at 523-5096.
  • Please leave your personal belongings (cell phone, purse etc.) with your family members or leave them in your car, we will not have a secure room to leave them in during the ceremony.
  • RSVP for in-person attendance. We ask that you register by October 27.

Attending Virtually

  • Ceremony starts at 10 a.m. on November 2. Please be logged in no later than 9:50 a.m. to ensure your technology works. The event will conclude at approximately 10:45 a.m.
  • We ask that you pick up a new member welcome packet on Wednesday, October 30 at either the Downtown or Parham Rd. campuses. Details will be sent closer to the date.
  • The Zoom link was sent out in your confirmation email.
  • Download a Zoom background and turn your camera on so we can see your smiling face!
  • You can share the link with as many family and friends as you want.
  • There is no dress code for the event but students are asked to join from a location that allows them to be present, engaged and attentive throughout the ceremony.
