Welcome to the Reynolds Community College Center for the Deaf. The Center for the Deaf is a part of the Office of Student Accommodations (OSA) at Reynolds Community College. This office provides an array of services, including Sign Language Interpreting, Cued Language Transliteration (CLT), Captioning, and CART. Services are provided to students across all campuses to support communication access in the academic setting. Reynolds’s Center for the Deaf also serves as a resource and advocate at Reynolds Community College and in the surrounding community.
How to Request ASL Interpreting, Cued Language Transliteration (CLT), Captioning, and Cart Requests
Prior Notice is required to assure services can be provided timely
New Students
Students applying for services for the first time will need to visit the Apply for Accommodations page for more information on how to register with our office.
Current/Returning Students
Students who access accommodations through the OSA can request American Sign Language (ASL) interpreting, Cued Language Transliteration (CLT), Captioning, and/or CART by contacting us at Interpreters@reynolds.edu
Semester Courses
Requests for Semester course(s) should be made as soon as you have registered for your classes but at least no later than two weeks in advance of the course start date to ensure we can arrange services for the entire semester. Please email us all details or include a screen shot of your schedule to Interpreters@reynolds.edu. Email Interpreters@reynolds.edu or call (804) 523-5290 to confirm receipt of request.
If a request is made with less than two weeks’ notice, every effort to arrange these services will be made, but there may be a delay in services at the start of the semester.
All Other Class Activities and/or College Events
Requests for Class related activities such as: tutoring, activities, and/or meetings should be made at least (2) two business days in advance (not including weekends and holiday)
Requests for Reynolds College events should be made at least (5) five business days in advance (not including weekends and holiday)

To Modify a Request
To make modifications to your request, please provide us detailed information

Visitors and Prospective Students
