Student Orientation, Advising & Registration (SOAR)

New to Reynolds and planning to start classes this spring?

Welcome to Reynolds!

Soar (new student orientation, advising and registration) sessions for spring semester have ended but we have advising specialists ready to help you get started.

Please see an academic advisor in one of our Enrollment Services Offices.  In Enrollment Services you can meet with an advisor to help you choose the right classes for spring semester.

  • You do not need an appointment to see an advisor in Enrollment Services.
  • You can see a financial aid specialist in Enrollment Services.
  • Our Financial Aid Central page has useful information to help you with the financial aid process.

This New Student Orientation checklist provides useful information for your advising session.

If you are a new student for the fall 2019 semester, you can begin signing up for SOAR sessions on March 3.

Students should watch the online orientation before the start of the spring semester.  It provides useful information about placement testing, the types of degrees you can get at Reynolds, financial aid, and tutoring.

View the New Student Online Orientation by setting up a Go2Reynolds account here. The Go2Reynolds account is different from your MyReynolds account; you will not use your MyReynolds username and password for this. You will create a new username and password for the Go2Reynolds account.

Other Useful Information:

Students taking classes to transfer to their home institution should complete a transient student form

You can get your Student ID and parking permit in the Department of Police.  Be sure to complete the parking decal form.

Classes for the 16-week session start on January 7.  There are 8-week and 4-week sessions that start later in the semester.  Be sure to review the academic calendar and important deadlines in the spring registration guide.
