Multicultural Enrichment Council

The vision of the Multicultural Enrichment Council (MEC) is to:

  • Help create and implement multicultural experiences for faculty, staff, students, and the community.
  • Identify and facilitate participation by faculty, staff, and students in existing multicultural enrichment opportunities throughout our greater Richmond area.
  • Educate the college community on the importance of fairness and inclusiveness, and on the acceptance of differing views, beliefs, opinions, and perspectives of other people—both inside and outside of the classroom. 

My Reynolds Experience

What: My Reynolds Experience is the name of the annual student essay contest sponsored by the MEC. The goal of the  contest is to capture the many stories of the students who walk our halls. At this event, the 2019 prizewinners will read their essays at a reception in their honor. 

When: Friday, April 19th from 1 to 3 p.m.

Where: Parham Road Campus, Massey Building, Lily Pad

FREE and open to the public; light refreshments will be served.

What: The MEC Music Committee features acoustic guitar player Jackson Wright of the ban Wylder in two upcoming performances.

Where & When, Downtown Campus: Tuesday, April 23rd from noon to 1 p.m. in the 2nd Floor Atrium

Where & When, Parham Road Campus: Wednesday, April 24th from noon to 1 p.m. in Burnette Hall Commons
