Student Profile: Deanna Seay
Deanna is currently a faculty member at the School of Richmond Ballet, and is preparing for the Nutcracker. She hopes to continue her education, perhaps in an area related to ballet. She enjoyed her classes at Reynolds, she said, “but I think the most memorable moment had to be picking up my diploma and realizing that I had finally completed this degree after 20 years.”
In her own words:
I have earned an AAS with concentration in Science. I was a professional ballet dancer for many years in Miami, Florida, and I began taking classes to earn my Associate's degree about 20 years ago. As my career progressed I had less time to complete the degree I had started until I came to Richmond and enrolled at Reynolds. I am proud, as are many graduates I am certain, to have been able to complete the credits I needed while working full-time and raising my two young children.
