Reynolds Opens Career Connect Center to Empower Job Seekers

Reynolds Community College has unveiled its latest initiative to bolster workforce development in Central Virginia with the opening of the Career Connect Center. Located on the first floor of the college's downtown campus, this innovative resource hub is set to transform the career pathways for students, job seekers, and employers in the greater Richmond area.

Open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Career Connect offers an array of services to support career exploration, enrollment in workforce programs, and direct connections to local employers. Staffed by dedicated career coaches, the center provides personalized guidance tailored to individual needs, including assistance for Spanish-speaking visitors through a bilingual coach.

“The Career Connect Center is more than just a space – it’s a launchpad for dreams, opportunities and brighter futures,” said Dr. Paula Pando, President of Reynolds. “By combining the resources of Reynolds and Network2WorkRVA, we are addressing workforce gaps and creating meaningful opportunities for individuals to thrive in their careers.”

A Central Resource for Job Seekers

The center serves not only degree-seeking Reynolds students but also those enrolled in programs through Community College Workforce Alliance (CCWA), the workforce division of Reynolds. The center also serves individuals across the Richmond region interested in joining Network2WorkRVA. This program is a pivotal partner in connecting skilled job seekers with employers eager to fill essential roles.

Visitors to the center will find services tailored to a range of needs, from resume building and interview preparation to enrollment in training programs. The center also acts as a bridge to high-demand industries, helping job seekers gain the skills and connections necessary for well-paying, fulfilling employment.

Sheryl L. Garland, VCU Health System’s Chief of Health Impact commented, “For several years, Reynolds and CCWA have been exceptional strategic partners to VCU Health, helping to develop new models, pathways, and programs to assist with recruitment needs for critical positions at VCU Health System. The Career Connect Center will build upon the exceptional experiences currently offered by Reynolds and CCWA, providing an opportunity to build stronger pathways to employment for Central Virginia residents

This partnership between Reynolds and Network2WorkRVA is a game-changer for our community. We’re connecting people to careers that provide long-term stability and growth.
