Academic Assistance at Reynolds
To help students go further and faster in pursuit of their goals, Reynolds Community College offers free academic support. Students can find peer and/or faculty tutors in the following units:
- Tutoring Services is home to general tutoring, providing assistance in a broad range of subjects as well as help building general skills for academic success. (See a list of courses supported by Tutoring Services below.)
- Math Central+ provides coaching in math, physics, and engineering courses.
- The Writing Studio provides consultations for all kinds of writing, no matter the class or assignment.

How do I get started with a tutor?
Tutoring is available by appointment, and many of our tutors offer both online and on-campus availability. Use Navigate Student, located in MyReynolds, to schedule your appointment. Check out the "Tutoring Appointment" video located on the Navigate Tutorials page to learn how to schedule a tutoring session.

How long is a tutoring session?
You will spend about 45-50 minutes with your tutor.
How do I prepare for my appointment?
Plan to join the Zoom meeting about five minutes early, in case you have technical difficulties. Have all of your materials on hand before your appointment begins. Have a goal in mind -- a concern or concerns that you can make progress on in 45-50 minutes with your tutor. Attempt the work before your appointment so you know what you need help with.
I'm not familiar with Navigate, Zoom, or Brainfuse. What should I do?
Reynolds Technology Support has resources to introduce you to Navigate and Zoom. You can learn more about Brainfuse here . Additionally, Tutoring Services staff are happy to talk to you about your concerns and needs. Contact us by chat, phone, or email. We're here to help you.
Workshops
Throughout the semester, Tutoring Services and the Library offer a series of workshops to help you succeed. These include planning for the semester, reading your syllabus, computer basics, study strategies, testing skills, note taking, and so much more. Instructors and faculty can also request workshops on various academic skills for their individual classes by filling out the form located here.These customizable sessions cover research, technical, and study skills.
Brainfuse Online Tutoring
