Paying for College
We are committed to using all of the available funds to help you gain access to a college education. In fact, more than 91% of our students graduate without any educational debt. In 2023, Reynolds Community College students received over $21 million dollars in grants, loans, work-study and scholarships with the average aid awarded totaling over $4,000 per student.

Additional Program Information
PURPOSE: With the rapid development of business and industry in Virginia, there is a great demand for qualified personnel in business administration to provide leadership for this economic growth. The Associate of Science degree with a major in Business Administration is designed for persons who plan to transfer to a four-year college or university to complete a baccalaureate degree in business administration.
OCCUPATIONAL OBJECTIVES: As a graduate, you'll be equipped with the skills and knowledge sought after by employers. Your potential job roles extend to becoming a Manager or Administrative Assistant, providing you with a strong foundation for success in the business world.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: General college curricular admission.
PROGRAM NOTES: The following high school units are strongly recommended: four units of English, three units of college preparatory mathematics, and one unit of laboratory science. This curriculum requires courses in business, principles of economics and accounting, in addition to courses in mathematics, natural science, humanities/fine arts, and English which are usually required in the first two years of a baccalaureate business administration curriculum.

This program is aligned with the Transfer Virginia Business Administration common curriculum. Students are strongly encouraged to consult their academic advisor and review transfer options using the Transfer Virginia Portal, transfervirginia.org. With the assistance of their advisor, students are urged to acquaint themselves with the requirements of the major department in the institution to which transfer is contemplated. Students are advised to complete the AS degree at the community college, choosing courses that satisfy both the requirements of their targeted transfer four-year college, as indicated by the Transfer Portal, as well as the AS degree.
If students contemplate transferring to an out-of-state college, they should also make contact with the four-year college and consult that college’s catalog before deciding which courses to take.
